The short answer
As of October 2, 2026, six days before launch, the answer is: no one can tell you. Steam shows no compatibility rating for the game, Saber Interactive has not published anything about Steam Deck, and the game has not been released, so no verification pass has happened.
That is not a hedge for its own sake. A compatibility rating is assigned by Valve after testing, and there is no such rating here.
What the demo reports say
The demo week generated two distinct Steam forum threads from Deck owners. Community reports describe the demo running, with performance described as acceptable by at least one player and stuttering reported by others. Reports of crashes on start-up also exist for PC generally, not only for the Deck.
⚠️ Unconfirmed. All of the above is community reporting on a separate demo build. The demo is not the full game, and the full game is heavier. Treat every impression as provisional.
Why the specs matter here
The official requirements ask for a GTX 1660 or RX Vega 64 8GB at minimum and 8 GB of system memory, with 80 GB of storage. The Deck's hardware is broadly in the conversation for the lowest setting, but the 80 GB install is its own problem on a base model. Full specs are on PC Requirements, the platforms list is on Platforms, and the settings you can tune are on Options and Accessibility.
How to test it yourself on launch day
- Check the Steam Deck compatibility rating on the store page on October 8. If Valve has graded it, that rating is authoritative and this page becomes unnecessary.
- If it is still ungraded, install to internal storage rather than a microSD card, given the streaming load an 80 GB horror game implies.
- Start on the lowest preset and cap at 30fps before raising anything.
- Report your result publicly, because a game this small in the data has no coverage yet.
FAQ
Is it Deck Verified?
No rating exists. Nothing has been announced.
Will it run at 60fps?
Nobody knows. No benchmarks exist for hardware of any kind.
Does it support cloud saves so I can move between Deck and desktop?
Steam Cloud is listed for the game, so saves should follow you. That is a Steam-level feature, not a Deck-specific promise.
Is there a handheld-friendly version elsewhere?
The Nintendo Switch 2 version is the only handheld-specific release. See Platforms.
