The release date, stated plainly
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival launches on October 8, 2026. The date appears on the Steam listing, the PlayStation Store page, the Xbox listing and the Nintendo Switch 2 page, and game director Emil Esov repeated it in the official PlayStation Blog developer diary. It launches both digitally and on physical media, which matters for a horror release in 2026 because many are digital-only.
The announcement history is short. The game was announced on July 22, 2025 with a trailer. The release date and the Deluxe Edition were confirmed on June 16, 2026. Pre-orders opened on August 19, 2026, the same week the Switch 2 version was announced, and the free Steam demo arrived on September 17, 2026.

The unlock hour question
The PlayStation Store page for the game renders its release timestamp as October 8, 2026, 12:00 PM UTC. That is the only first-party hour we have found. A community wiki lists 9:00 AM ET for the PS5 version, which would be 13:00 UTC, so the two readings disagree by an hour.
⚠️ Unconfirmed. The unlock hour is labelled partial. We state the PS Store timestamp as what that page lists, not as a global unlock time. If Saber announces a global time or if launch day behaves differently, this page gets corrected the same day.
The honest summary before launch day: plan around the date, check your regional store page on the morning of October 8, and expect the hour to be confirmed within a day of release either way.
Can you play it early?
There is no early access window and no announced demo for consoles. The free Steam demo has been out since September 17, 2026, but it is a separate application, not a head start on the full game. Pre-ordering does not unlock anything early either; it adds the pre-order skins.
FAQ
Is the release date the same on every platform?
Yes. October 8, 2026 is on the Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo listings alike, and the dev diary repeats it. See Platforms for the platform-by-platform detail.
Is there a physical edition?
The PlayStation Blog developer diary says the game launches both digitally and on physical media. Which SKUs are physical, and what the physical boxes contain, is not yet itemised on a first-party page. The merchandise versions are covered on the Collector's Edition page.
When do reviews go up?
Embargo details have not been announced. This page will link the first reviews after October 8. Until then, treat every "review" you see as either a preview or an opinion piece.
Is the demo the same as the full game's opening?
The demo description says it contains a taste of the game where you meet the main characters, delve into the Labyrinth and face the Scarlet Church for the first time. Progress from the demo carrying into the full game has not been confirmed. Details on the Demo page.
